    Watermelon Feta Mint Salad

    This Watermelon Feta Mint Salad is a refreshing combination of sweet watermelon, honey, blueberries, creamy feta, fresh lime juice and a pinch of salt. All of the flavors compliment one another and the result is a mouth-watering salad.

    • 6 cups cubed watermelon  
    • ½ cup feta crumbles 
    • ¼ cup fresh mint, chopped
    • 1 cup blueberries 
    • 2 tablespoons lime juice
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon honey 
    • Pinch of salt

    Popular Additions & Substitutions

    Mint: if you can't find fresh mint, substitute fresh chopped basil

    Red onion: sliced red onion (½ cup) is a popular addition to this recipe

    Lime zest: for even more lime flavor, add the zest of 1 lime to your recipe

    How to Make Watermelon Feta Mint Salad

    Step 1: in a small bowl, stir together the lime juice, honey, and a pinch of salt. 

    Step 2: add watermelon, mint and blueberries to a large bowl. Pour in the lime juice dressing and toss to combine. 

    Step 3: top with crumbled feta, gently toss once more and serve.

    Tips & Tricks for This Recipe

    Refrigerate before serving: you can serve this salad immediately after making it, but the flavors will be even stronger if you refrigerate it (covered) and allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

    Make it in your serving bowl: this recipe is super simple (all you need to do is mix everything together) — make it directly in the bowl that you'll serve it in to avoid extra dishes.

    How to Serve Watermelon Salad

    Watermelon salad is most popular as a side dish or appetizer, especially during the summer. You can also make it ahead of time (or the night before), which makes it ideal for potlucks, BBQs, picnics, etc.

    Storage

    In the fridge: store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 - 4 days.

    In the freezer: it's not recommended to freeze this recipe as it will change the texture of the salad.

        I wouldn't recommend making it more than a couple hours ahead of time! The textures won't be as fresh.

        You could prep all of the ingredients the night before: slice the watermelon, mix the dressing (store it in the fridge), and portion out all of the ingredients. That way all you have to do day-of it toss it together 🙂
