This recipe is a fun modification of traditional hummus. It uses chickpeas as the base (like traditional hummus), but is sweetened and flavored with lots of chocolate!
Chocolate hummus if you're craving some chocolate but want to try a healthier way of eating it. You can pair this dip with your favorite fruits, crackers or pretzels.

- 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas
- ½ cup unsweetened Dutch cocoa powder
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons drippy tahini
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 - 3 tablespoons water
How to Make Chocolate Hummus
STEP 1: Add all ingredients except for water to a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth.
STEP 2: Add water and blend again, adding more water until the desired consistency is reached. You may need to pause the blender to scrape the sides and ensure that the hummus is blending consistently.
STEP 3: Serve immediately with your favorite items for dipping: strawberries, apples, pretzels, crackers, etc.
