Fresh Mango Salsa

  • Author: Megan
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 3 cups 1x

Description

A fresh mango salsa that's full of bright flavors and colors! This recipe is fruity and sweet with hint of lime. Use it as a dip for chips, a topping for main courses, or as part of a salad.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe mangoes (peeled and diced)
  • 1 jalapeno (seeded and diced)
  • ½ red bell pepper (diced)
  • ½ cup red onion (diced)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (loosely packed)
  • ⅛ teaspoons salt (plus more to taste)
  • Zest of ½ of a lime
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and stir gently to mix. Taste and season with additional salt if preferred.
  2. Serve with chips or as a topping. For best flavor, let the salsa sit for 10 - 15 minutes before serving (the flavors will marinate and strengthen as the salsa sits). Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Notes

Note: this is a helpful video on how to cut a mango for salsa: How to Dice a Mango. Basically: peel, slice off round discs (avoid the pit of the mango) and dice.
