Oat Milk Hot Chocolate

  • Author: Megan
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 cups 1x

Description

This creamy, rich oat milk hot chocolate is a healthy(ish) treat that tastes completely decadent! It only uses 3 simple ingredients and is naturally sweetened.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups oat milk
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup (or honey, coconut sugar)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened dutch cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk: in a small saucepan over medium high heat, warm the oat milk until it is about to boil (don’t let it come to a full boil).
  2. Add cocoa & syrup: stir or whisk in the cocoa and syrup until well-combined. Heat and stir for 1 - 2 minute more, making sure that the mixture does not boil.
  3. Serve: serve immediately, optionally topped with a dollop of coconut whipped cream and a sprinkle of more cocoa powder.
