Blueberry overnight oats with wild blueberries.

Blueberry Overnight Oats

  • Author: Megan
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

This blueberry overnight oats recipe is a delicious, vibrant, and (almost) effortless breakfast. It uses frozen wild blueberries for maximum berry flavor and to turn the oats a stunning blue color!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup, or more to taste
  • ½ cup frozen wild blueberries*

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, stir together all ingredients except the blueberries.
  2. Stir in the blueberries.
  3. Store in an airtight container (like a jar) for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. If preferred, add a splash more milk to thin your oats after they sit overnight for a thinner consistency.

Notes

  • *Blueberries: Regular frozen blueberries can also be used (instead of wild blueberries), but they will have less flavor and won’t turn the oats blue.
  • Maple syrup: Honey or your preferred sweetener can be substituted. Feel free to use more for sweeter oats.
