Description
This blueberry overnight oats recipe is a delicious, vibrant, and (almost) effortless breakfast. It uses frozen wild blueberries for maximum berry flavor and to turn the oats a stunning blue color!
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk)
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon pure maple syrup, or more to taste
- ½ cup frozen wild blueberries*
Instructions
- In a small bowl, stir together all ingredients except the blueberries.
- Stir in the blueberries.
- Store in an airtight container (like a jar) for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. If preferred, add a splash more milk to thin your oats after they sit overnight for a thinner consistency.
Notes
- *Blueberries: Regular frozen blueberries can also be used (instead of wild blueberries), but they will have less flavor and won’t turn the oats blue.
- Maple syrup: Honey or your preferred sweetener can be substituted. Feel free to use more for sweeter oats.
