Garlic Butter Mushrooms

These easy garlic butter mushrooms are made with the most heavenly garlic herb sauce! They're a tasty way to cook mushrooms that's always a crowd-pleasing side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound mushrooms baby bella, cremini or button
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic (about 3 - 4 cloves)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  • Clean the mushrooms by gently rinsing them with water and then dabbing them dry with a paper towel or kitchen towel. Let the mushrooms dry completely before cooking.
  • In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, add the butter. Once the butter begins to melt, add the garlic and stir. 
  • Once the butter is completely melted, add the mushrooms, salt, pepper and thyme. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 10 - 12 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender. 
  • Serve immediately, optionally sprinkled with fresh parsley. 

Notes

To make it dairy free: substitute ghee for butter.
